Dr. Keaton B. Smith graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Agriculture in 1993. He then graduated from the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. From Alabama he moved to Arkansas to practice veterinary medicine. He was certified by both the Alabama State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners and the Arkansas Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners. When Cumberland Valley Animal Hospital came up for sale, he came to Kentucky to practice veterinary medicine in May of 2000 and was certified by the Kentucky Board of Veterinary Examiners. He purchased CVAH in September of 2000. Of the pets at his house, his family lets him claim Splish, a Pointer mix, and Bluegrass, a domestic shorthair from the first c-section delivery he performed in Arkansas. |

Dr. Carol S. Crosslin graduated from the Department of Biology at the University of the South, Sewanee, TN in 1989. After helping her husband through medical school, she returned to college and graduated from the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. She began practicing veterinary medicine in Kentucky and was certified by the Kentucky Board of Veterinary Examiners. She came to CVAH in July of 2001. She has four cats named Tess, Atticus, Ginger, and Seamus, an Irish Setter named Clay, two English Setters named Copper and Rook, a chocolate Labrador Retriever named Dutch, a mongrel named Poochie, three Tenessee Walking Horses named Rascal, Stewart, and Swan, and several Zebra Finches. |

Louise first came to CVAH in September of 2000. After a temporary move out of state, she returned to CVAH in April of 2004. She has an Australian Cattle Dog named Bandit, a Dachshund named Chrissy, and a German Shepherd Dog named Saje. She is our Senior Kennel Technician |

Penny is a Licensed Practical Nurse who gave up human medicine to become a Veterinary Technician at CVAH in April of 2003. From time to time she assists Louise as a Kennel Technician and fosters dogs abandoned at CVAH. |

Su graduated from the Auburn University College of Education in 1995 with a Bachelor of Music Education with Secondary English and in 1997 with her M.Ed. She took over Julie Mercer’s job at CVAH in September of 2000. Of the pets at home, she and the kids claim Joe the Golden Retriever, Andy the French Lop rabbit, Thumpa the English Spot rabbit, and all the guinea pigs. She recently returned to Auburn to sing at the Retirement Celebration of T.R. Smith. |

Wilma came to CVAH as a part-time Reception Technician and Assistant Purchaser. She has a mongrel named Ginger, a Bullmastiff named Luke, a Boxer named Miss Dixie, a Beagle named Patches, a Golden Retriever named Princess, a domestic longhair named Miss Kitty and a domestic longhair named Bob. |

Lisa came to CVAH in May of 2007 as a Reception Technician. She has twin boys Gabriel and Michael that are 5 years old and a Great Dane named Isabella. |
